What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember short-term state (like whether you dismissed a message) and help the site’s owner understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. “Similar technologies” — such as local storage or pixels — work in comparable ways. We keep our use of all of them deliberately small.
How we use cookies
We use cookies for two purposes only: to keep the site running and secure, and to measure traffic in a privacy-respecting way. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary (essential)
Required for the site to function — security, load balancing, and basic preferences. These do not identify you for marketing and cannot be switched off through a consent choice, though you can block all cookies in your browser (which may break parts of the site).
Analytics (privacy-friendly)
Help us understand aggregate traffic and performance — which pages are visited and whether anything is broken. We use cookieless or minimally-identifying, privacy-respecting analytics wherever possible, so this data is not tied to your identity and is used only in aggregate.
Cookies at a glance
| Name / source | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
Cloudflare (e.g. __cf_bm) |
Strictly necessary | Security, bot management, and reliable delivery of the site. | Session / up to 30 min |
| Site preferences | Strictly necessary | Remembers basic UI state, such as a dismissed notice. | Session / up to 12 months |
| Analytics (privacy-friendly) | Analytics | Aggregate, de-identified traffic and performance measurement. | Session / cookieless where available |
The exact cookies present can change as we update the site. This table lists the categories you should expect; check your browser’s cookie viewer for the current specifics.
Consent & your choices
Essential cookies are set because the site cannot run without them. For non-essential (analytics) cookies, we honor the choices required by your jurisdiction:
- EEA / UK: where required, non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- US (CCPA/CPRA and similar): we do not sell or share personal information, and you may opt out of non-essential cookies as described below.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): we treat a GPC browser signal as a valid opt-out of non-essential tracking where the law requires it.
Managing & opting out of cookies
- Browser controls. Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its settings — usually under “Privacy” or “Cookies and site data.” Blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.
- Global Privacy Control. Enable GPC in a supporting browser or extension to send an automatic opt-out signal to sites you visit, including ours.
- Do Not Track. You can enable your browser’s Do Not Track setting; we respect it where the law gives it effect.
- Ask us. For any cookie or privacy request, email hello@tekavra.com.
For how cookie data fits into your broader privacy rights, see our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our site or the law changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do. Please review it periodically.
